Smart Cloud Storage (SCS) automates storage management on your smartphone.

If you run out of storage, it automatically outsources files to make room for new ones. When you need outsourced files back, SCS re-downloads them immediately.

SCS moves your data to and from the cloud (Google Drive), thus effectively increasing the total storage space of your phone.

SCS offers you a Drop folder to move files easily from your desktop computer to your phone, making MTP obsolete.

There has been a lot of confusion about what actually happens to files and a lot of people fear to lose their files. If you do too, please read on and let me explain, what SCS does with your files:

1) SCS uploads all the files it is allowed (those in the watched folders, which you control) to a Google server (Google Drive).

When you create a new file, it is also uploaded. When you delete a file on your phone, it is deleted on Google Drive too. This creates a live backup of all your files, which can come in handy anyway.

2) Now, when you run out of storage (meaning you go below the "Keep Free Minimum" defined in the "Storage Overview" of the app's settings), SCS shows you a notification, a so-called "Space Alert".

If you click on this notification, SCS will give you a list of files it thinks would be good to outsource (files you did not use in a long time, for example). Only files that are online on Google Drive are displayed here. So files displayed to you exist both offline and online.

If (and only IF!) you click on outsource, the contents of these files will be overwritten with 0 bytes. This makes room for new files on your phone, while still holding on to the version of the file that is online on Google Drive.

3) As soon as you or any application try to open an outsourced file, this file is re-downloaded to your phone.

Does SCS delete files on my phone?

No, SCS does not delete any files on your phone EVER. It merely overwrites local files with 0 bytes, if and only if this file is backed up.

Does SCS delete files online?

SCS only deletes files in the cloud, if you delete a file locally or if you unwatch a folder/file type. Before it deletes the file, SCS checks if this file is actually an outsourced file (a file that is not on your phone anymore). If yes, the file is first downloaded and only then deleted online (so it still exists on your phone).

A file is only deleted from the cloud (Google Drive) if it exists locally (on your phone). A file is only deleted locally (from your phone) if it exists in the cloud (Google Drive).

If you are using the uninstall guide, please make sure to finish the downloads before you uninstall the application.

Se sei a corto di stoccaggio, si esternalizza automaticamente i file per fare spazio a quelli nuovi. Quando avete bisogno dei file in outsourcing indietro, SCS ri-download immediatamente.

SCS trasferisce i dati da e verso il Cloud (Google Drive), aumentando così in modo efficace lo spazio di archiviazione totale del telefono.

SCS ti offre una cartella di ricezione per spostare facilmente i file dal computer desktop al telefono, rendendo MTP obsoleto.

C'è stato un sacco di confusione su ciò che realmente accade ai file e un sacco di gente ha paura di perdere i propri file. Se lo fai troppo, continua a leggere e mi permetta di spiegare, cosa SCS fa con i file:

1) SCS carica tutti i file che è consentito (quelli nelle cartelle controllate, che si controllo) a un server di Google (Google Drive).

Quando si crea un nuovo file, è anche caricato. Quando si elimina un file sul telefono, viene eliminato su Google Drive troppo. Questo crea un backup dal vivo di tutti i file, che possono tornare utili in ogni caso.

2) Ora, quando si esaurisce lo stoccaggio (nel senso di andare al di sotto del "mantenere libera minima" definito nella "Storage Panoramica" delle impostazioni della app), SCS si mostra una notifica, una cosiddetta "Space Alert".

Se si fa clic su questa notifica, SCS vi darà un elenco di file che ritiene sarebbe bene esternalizzare (file non è stato utilizzato in un lungo periodo di tempo, per esempio). Solo i file che si trovano online su Google Drive vengono visualizzati qui. Così file visualizzati a voi esistere sia offline che online.

Se (e solo se!) Si fa clic su outsourcing, il contenuto di questi file saranno sovrascritti con 0 byte. Questo crea spazio per nuovi file sul telefono, mentre ancora aggrappata alla versione del file che è online su Google Drive.

3) Non appena si o qualsiasi altra applicazione tenta di aprire un file in outsourcing, questo file è ri-scaricato sul telefono.

Ha SCS eliminare i file sul mio telefono?

No, SCS non elimina tutti i file sul telefono MAI. E 'semplicemente sovrascrive i file locali con 0 byte, se e solo se questo file viene eseguito il backup.

Ha SCS eliminare i file on-line?

SCS elimina solo i file in the cloud, se si elimina un file in locale o se si unwatch un tipo di cartella / file. Prima che elimina il file, SCS controlla se questo file è in realtà un file in outsourcing (un file che non è sul telefono più). Se sì, il file viene prima scaricato e solo allora cancellato online (quindi esiste ancora sul telefono).

Un file viene cancellato solo dalla nube (Google Drive) se esiste a livello locale (sul proprio telefono). Un file viene eliminato solo localmente (dal telefono) se esiste in the cloud (Google Drive).
